Responsibilities

Performs a variety of administrative, secretarial and clerical duties, which support management personnel in the overall operation of a department or service area.  Assignments are characterized by an intermediate knowledge and application of department policies, procedures and operation.  Incumbent is expected to interpret and execute the duties and responsibilities of the job with only limited supervision and direction.  Position is characterized by the ability to prioritize and organize multiple assignments.

 

HUMAN RESOURCES – FRONT DESK HR ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST DUTIES

  1. Serves as the “front door” to Northside Hospital
    1. Greets persons entering Human Resources.
    2. Promptly answers the 2-line phone system.
    3. Provides information that is helpful and in line with the Department and the Organization.
    4. Directs persons to correct destination.
  2. Performs various Administrative/Clerical duties, such as:
    1. Handles and sorts mail including responding and resolving email requests.
    2. Manages Retention log for department files.
    3. Prep new hire, department files and change of status including other documents for scanning.
    4. Creates and updates ID replacement badges for employees.
  3. Maintains organized of the front desk area.
  4. Performs other duties as assigned, including those outlined in the Front Desk Daily Assignments Procedure Guide.

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. One (1) year clerical/secretarial/customer service experience.
  3. Typing requirements vary by department, see requisition for requirements.
  4. Good communication skills.
  5. Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  6. Level of proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) varies by department, see requisition for requirements.

Preferred: 

  1. Post high school education.
  2. Prior health care experience.
  3. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and work independently
