Sr. Healthcare Operations Engineer

Analyzes all aspects of hospital management and operations for potential improvement opportunities. Coordinates complex operational or financial analysis in the areas of process improvement, productivity standards development, performance monitoring, and resource allocation and scheduling. This position requires a high level of independent thinking and the ability to manage non-routine projects and multiple priorities with minimal supervision. The individual must demonstrate tact and diplomacy in situations of conflict and controversy and must have excellent communication and presentation skills.

REQUIRED 

1. Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Health Systems Engineering, Health Care Administration, Organizational Development, a health profession, or other related field.
2. Four (4) to six (6) years of experience in healthcare management engineering or operations improvement, healthcare consulting, or healthcare supervision.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of computers and microcomputer applications.
4. Proficient in the use and application of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
5. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
6. Experience in the development and management of complex project plans.
7. Experience in training/educating and supervising others.

PREFERRED 

1. Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or a health-related field.
2. Working knowledge of other microcomputer applications including:  Access database applications, HRMS, Solucient, and other financial systems.
3. Previous experience in team process development, facilitation, and education.
