The Code Abstractor is responsible for coding professional services, surgical procedures and specialty testing for a wide range of specialties accurately and consistently utilizing CPT -4 and ICD-10-CM Guidelines. In addition to providing professional services consistent with current coding and diagnosis guidelines and applicable payer requirements in a timely manner, the Code Abstractor will also provide coding support and education to providers and staff.

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Three (3) years of experience in ICD-10 CM, CPT-4 coding.
3. Certified Profession Coder by the American Academy of Professional Coders or Certified Coding Specialist by the AHIMA.

PREFERRED

1. Passing score in Microsoft Suite Assessment (MS Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point).
