Procedure coordinator will work with insurance companies, care providers or hospital scheduling departments to share essential patient information and assists primarily in scheduling appointments, surgery cases or managing health insurance issues. As a Procedure Coordinator, you will work directly with the patient, patient families, physicians or internal Northside Hospital departments, depending on the individual patient needs or physician orders. Other job responsibilities include setting up appointments for new and existing patients, verifying insurance information, maintaining patient records, conduct necessary third party authorization requests, and initiate pre-certification requirements prior to the patient’s appointment. You may also perform general administrative/clerical tasks and answer phone calls.
