Practice Details 

 

The physicians at NCU are board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. They specialize in treating female pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, as well as other disorders of the urogenital tract. NCU is the largest urogynecology practice in the Southeast with 5 boarded physicians and 2 mid-level providers. We see patients and offer comprehensive care at 3 locations – Atlanta, Lawrenceville, and Cumming. Responsibilities

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.  Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting.  Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician.  Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  1. High school diploma, equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.
  2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

PREFERRED

  1. Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military medic course.
  2. One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
  3. Other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units.
  4. Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.
