Practice Details 

 

Atlanta Colon & Rectal Surgery is a full service colorectal health practice dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of colon diseases, anorectal complaints, and cancer prevention.

 

We are colon and rectal surgeons who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of all diseases of the intestine, colon, rectum, and anus. Each physician has completed several years of specialty training and is certified by both the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. We are specialists who limit our practice to colon and rectal surgery. The practice has been serving patients throughout Georgia and the Southeastern United States for the last thirty years.

Responsibilities

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.  Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting.  Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician.  Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  1. High school diploma, equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.
  2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

PREFERRED

  1. Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military medic course.
  2. One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
  3. Other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units.
  4. Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.
