Responsibilities

Oversees the clinical practice and patient care delivery, as well as has 24-hour accountability, authority and responsibility of the operations of assigned units. Duties include management of human, fiscal and material resources and implementation of policies, procedures, standards and regulations.  Areas of responsibility include invasive cardiac services specific to the cardiac cath lab. The Coordinator of Cath Lab provides care to an adult and geriatric patient population and is expected to take STEMI call with the call team on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

  1. Must have valid Georgia Nursing License
  2. Minimum of four (4) years recent experience in an interventional cardiac cath lab, emergency care, critical care, or advanced cardiac care setting
  3. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  4. Prior experience with general vascular and coronary angiography.
  5. Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation.
  6. Must take emergent coronary interventional call (PCI & STEMI) with a 30 minute arrival time on an as-needed basis.

PREFERRED:

  1. Minimum of two (2) years recent experience in an interventional cardiac cath lab preferred
  2. Previous management/leadership experience in Nursing preferred
