Responsible for auditing charge processes and procedures throughout the organization to maintain charge integrity in compliance with CMS and other regulatory agencies. This role will lead the defense audit process, perform hospital and payor audits to ensure compliance with annual audit plan and aid in identifying lost revenue opportunities or overpayments related to coding or billing issues identified through audits.

REQUIRED

1. BS. degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration. Relevant years of work experience of 8+ years may be substituted for a B.S. degree.
2. Must have a coding or nursing credential (RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, RN).
3. Six (6) years of revenue cycle or revenue integrity
4. Experience in training/educating and supervising
5. Thorough understanding of reimbursement methodologies for all
6. Understanding of the function of the Chargemaster as well as revenue, CPT and HCPCS
7. Good analytical and communication
8. Demonstrated knowledge of computers and micro computer
9. Knowledge of Microsoft Office

PREFERRED

1. Consulting
2. Five (5) years of experience directly training, educating and supervising staff in revenue cycle/revenue integrity services.
3. Experience with Cerner or Epic
