Responsible for supervising prior authorization, central scheduling, and insurance verification team in workflow. Responsible for being a liaison between clinical staff, physicians, ancillary departments, and the central scheduling / prior authorization / insurance verification staff. This position will work directly with physicians and nursing staff in obtaining orders for drugs that need prior authorizations and work with prior authorization team members to be sure the order goes to the correct person. This person will also be the liaison for LMG with any outsourced vendors concerning prior authorizations.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
1. High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
2. Two years of accounts receivable/billing experience and or insurance verification
experience.
3. At least 2 years of supervision experience.
4. At least 2 years of experience working in a medical practice.
