Responsibilities

Has overall responsibility for directing, administering, and managing the hospital-wide Employee Health program. The Employee Health Supervisor is a professional nurse with advanced knowledge, skill, and competence in all areas of Employee and Occupational Health. In addition, serves as a resource to all hospital departments and medical staff as it relates to Employee Health matters. Works with adolescent, adult, and geriatric population, whether they are an employee, auxiliary personnel, student, or medical staff member.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  1. Must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing with four years of nursing experience.
  2. Demonstrated ability to assume Charge Nurse responsibilities and clinical expertise.
  3. Certified in Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation [CPR]

 

PREFERRED

 

  1. Two years of experience in an Occupational or Public Health Nursing position
  2. Certification in Occupational Health [COHN or COHNS], or obtain within 18 months of hire.
  3. Emergency Department nursing experience.
  4. Three years previous experience in an Occupational Health leadership position.
  5. One (1) year of experience in a supervisory role.  Proven skills needed to plan, direct, and coordinate activities and programs involving a wide range of departments.
