At the NHCI High Risk Clinic we specialize in providing comprehensive care for individuals at high risk for breast cancer. Our team is dedicated to offering compassionate, state-of-the-art care to those navigating their breast health. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our high-risk breast cancer clinic and play a key role in the care of our patients.
Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists physcians/physician assitants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non‑licensed members.
The Medical Assistant will support our team by assisting with various clinical tasks in our multidisciplinary office setting, which houses both the NHCI High Risk Program and NHCI Cancer Genetics Program. Some duties include phlebotomy, lab order entry and specimen tracking, insurance verification, scheduling appointments, patient education, and compassionate care to ensure the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. The Medical Assistant will work closely with Nurse Practitioners, Physician’s Assistants, and Genetic Counselors to deliver high-quality patient care.
