Clinical Responsibilities
Patient Care: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with glaucoma, both medically and surgically. Monitor disease progression and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Surgical Expertise: Perform advanced glaucoma surgeries, including trabeculectomy, tube shunt procedures, MIGS (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery), and other related surgeries.
Collaborative Care: Work closely with the ophthalmology team, primary care physicians, and optometrists for coordinated patient management.
Patient Education: Provide education and counseling to patients regarding glaucoma management, treatment options, and preventative measures.
Clinical Leadership: Participate in the development and execution of glaucoma care protocols and clinical guidelines at Northside Hospital.
Outreach: Engage in community outreach programs to raise awareness of glaucoma and other ophthalmic diseases.
