Responsibilities

Join a Collegial Group of Faculty at Northside's Family Medicine GME Program Northside's Family Medicine Program seeks a dedicated Family Medicine Faculty Member to join their growing team. Our Family Medicine Residency has grown in size from 15 residents to 24 residents, a testament to our program's progress and success.

Northside is proud to have a large group of core faculty, consisting of Doctors of Osteopathic and Allopathic Medicine, who are dedicated to ensuring our residents and fellows receive the highest quality clinical experience and medical training during their time in our programs. This commitment is at the heart of our educational mission.


Northside offers the following ACGME- approved postgraduate programs:
Internal Medicine Preliminary Year, Categorical Positions, Family Medicine Categorical Positions, Transitional Year Program, and a Sports Medicine Fellowship.

Education:

  • DO (To Maintain Osteopathic Recognition)
  • Completion of an accredited family medicine program

 

Licensure/Certification:

  • BC|BE in Family Medicine
  • DEA certification
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Georgia or the ability to obtain one
  • Experience teaching residents and/or faculty experience Preferred

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

    • DO degree-To Maintain Osteopathic Recognition for the program
    • Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Family Medicine 
    • Licensed and eligible to practice in Georgia
    • Teaching Experiecne 
    • Unrestricted DEA Registration
    • Membership in good standing on the Gwinnett Hospital System Medical Staff
  • PREFERRED:
    • 5 years of teaching experience and experience in graduate medical education administration 
    • 2 years' experience in family medicine education
    • Previous administrative role in a family medicine residency program and/or sports medicine fellowship program.
    • Proven participation contributing to a sports medicine fellowship program 
    • Participation in American Medical Society for Sports Medicine activities 
    • Provide ambulatory and inpatient care
    • Advanced knowledge of clinical ultrasound use in musculoskeletal medicine and experience in procedural training for fellows and residents.
