Provides assistance to genetic counselors and staff to support genetic counseling within the clinic.  Performs duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

1. Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum of 3 years of experience in oncology, specifically working with cancer patients
2. Strong communication skills with diverse populations
3. High degree of independence, flexibility, initiative and commitment
4. Demonstrated awareness and value of cultural competence
5. Strong organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skills

Preferred:

1. Working knowledge of medical terminology
2. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point software programs
3. Knowledge of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Accreditation Standards
