Responsibilities

Graduate-prepared nurse with background in nursing education, clinical staff development, and teaching. Serves at the leader of the Dedicated Education Unit(s) and related clinical experiences to provide oversight of Northside Adjunct faculty and students. Serves as the liaison between Northside Hospital and academic partner schools.

 

Qualifications

 REQUIRED

 

  1. Active, valid licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Georgia.
  2. Master’s Degree in Nursing.
  3. Two or more years of recent nursing experience.
  4. Previous charge nurse and/or supervisory experience.
  5. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) other applicable resuscitation credential depending on specialty area (ACLS/PALS/NRP)

 

PREFERRED

 

  1. DNP, PhD/DNSc, or equivalent.
  2. Two or more years of teaching experience in an academic nursing program.
  3. Academic preparation in curriculum development, teaching methodologies and supervised teaching practicum.
  4. Nurse educator or nursing professional development certification.
  5. Evidence of teaching excellence, experience in patient care, and involvement in other scholarly and/or other creative activities.
  6. Academic and clinical teaching experience.
  7. Experience teaching in online and/or hybrid environments.
