Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia AND in good standing without limitations.

 

Certified in American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment.

 

Minimum of two (2) years of full-time RN experience, POST RESIDENCY TRAINING

 

PREFERRED:

Previous or existing Radiology RN experience 

 

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in medical-surgical nursing or related area with at least one (1) year experience involving the treatment of cardiac/critical care patients or previous radiology experience preferred.

 

Procedural and/or Emergency Department experience (including pre-op, OR, PACU, Interventional Pain, Endovascular, Interventional Radiology, Endoscopy, and strong IV insertion skills) is easily transferable to the Radiology Department. 

 

RN's with solid experience in Med/Surg, Ortho, Neuro, Oncology are also encouraged to apply.
